Fortunate Son

 by PETER BOYCHUK

Set after the state funeral for a former Prime Minister, the play tells the story
of how his son Justin gave a speech and inherited a nation.

On the surface, this was simpler than most of the big shows I've done. The challenge was in designing it for a festival-style format. The set had to be put up and struck in 15 minutes, and the stock lighting plot had to service for the characters' emotional journeys. It was also my experience with the creation of a new script.
